Cerillion supports ADSL billing for Jersey Telecom

Convergent Customer Care and Billing specialist, Cerillion Technologies, is now supporting island wide ADSL billing for Jersey Telecoms. The solution includes embedded workflow to seamlessly manage the complete provisioning process from initial sale of the service through to the engineer's visit.

Jersey Telecom offers island wide access to ADSL for residential fast Internet access. It is also rolling out solutions for business users to allow LAN based connection. Says Tim Ringsdore, Head of Product Development at Jersey Telecom: "Jersey has a well established background in offshore banking and financial management. Together with the advanced services that we are continuing to roll out, there is no reason that Jersey could not become one of the world's leading e Commerce centres."

The Cerillion (tm) platform is a particularly good match for this application. Says Louis Hall, Cerillion Technologies Managing Director: The current product offered by Jersey Telecoms involves ensuring that a number of steps are carried out, and that they are executed in the correct sequence. The service has to be sold. So does a modem. Changes need to be made on the exchange and a visit needs to be made by an engineer. All of these things need to be managed effectively to ensure that customers are satisfied. Cerillion (tm) incorporates a fully embedded workflow system that does this seamlessly.

Currently the service is billed by subscription. However the Cerillion (tm) system is ready for the roll out of content based services, which will be introduced by Jersey Telecoms in the future. Says Louis Hall: "Cerillion (tm) has a fully flexible, rules based product and tariffing structure. This makes it simple to add further services whatever the basis for charging them".
