Today marks 13 years since Cerillion was founded with the goal of becoming the leading independent provider of pre-integrated business support systems. Once again it’s been a very busy year for the company, completing key project deliveries with M2 Telecommunications
in Australia and for Columbus Communications across four separate countries in the Caribbean region.
These successful projects are again confirmation of our ability to deliver major BSS transformations and I am delighted with the results we have achieved for these customers. We’ve also secured a major new project with Truphone
here in the UK, as well as furthering our partnership with Essar Telecom Kenya
The need for partnerships has become something of a byword for the industry, but I’m pleased to say this has been Cerillion’s modus operandi since the very beginning. We pride ourselves on our close working relationships with our customers, and are continually striving to help them differentiate in their respective markets.
Other highlights from the year include helping our customers to deploy 4G and NGN services; to streamline order management processes through integrated network inventory; to roll out innovative customer spending controls; and to grow revenues through a range of enhanced enterprise services and new competitive offerings; to name just a few.
Looking ahead, the telecoms industry continues to evolve at an ever-faster pace, with the inexorable rise of over-the-top (OTT) services driving much of the change in the sector. The battle between cost savings and investment for growth is now being won on the investment side, as Communications Services Providers (CSPs) realise that growth and diversification is the only realistic path for the long term.
Technology evolution means that CSPs can now expand into new industry verticals through machine-to-machine (M2M) services and cloud-based offerings. But with all this opportunity also comes the complexity of supporting new business models and working out how to monetise new service portfolios. Much of this depends on having the flexibility in your business support systems to support this new transformation, and at Cerillion, this is something we do rather well.
Finally, as we celebrate another very successful year in the life of Cerillion, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers and partners for their business and continued loyalty, and of course our staff in the UK, India and Malta for their dedication to producing the best possible products and services we can provide.
We start our new year with continued momentum having just been selected by two new customers in Europe, and are delighted to welcome them into the fold. We will also be introducing some exciting new products to market in the next few months, and I look forward to meeting with many of you during the course of the year.
