MWC Barcelona – It’s not the first time that we met

MWC Barcelona – It’s not the first time that we met In four days from now, the curtain will rise once again on the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, as anyone who’s anyone in the mobile industry convenes in the Catalan capital. And judging by the number of enquiries and requests for meetings we’ve had over the last few weeks, this year looks set to be busier than ever before.

Due to the unprecedented demand for meetings and demonstrations, for the first time ever we will also be running open demonstrations on our stand with all welcome to stop by and learn about the latest innovations in our BSS/OSS product suite.

This is the first opportunity to see the power of Cerillion’s CRM Plus and Convergent Charging System modules combined in one pre-integrated solution, providing a single unified customer and product environment for delivering the best possible customer experience. And we’ll be offering fresh coffee and biscuits to keep you going through the rest of the day!

A daily schedule will be published on our stand each morning, so make sure you visit us in Hall 2, Stand 2D65 to find out when the next live demonstration will take place. This schedule will also be published on Twitter using the #CerillionLive hashtag.

We will also be providing a live stream of news and comments on the conference and exhibition on Twitter. So if you’re missing out on Barcelona this year, or just want to hear our latest MWC insights, then follow me @domtsmith and our CTO, Simon Matthews @SimonjMatthews, for the latest views using the #MWC12 hashtag. We will also be providing daily updates here on the Cerillion blog, so watch this space!

Since writing the MWC Preview blog, the big development has been the news that the metro and bus workers in Barcelona intend to strike during the congress. This threatens to make a mockery of Barcelona’s new status as the ‘Mobile World Capital’ with getting to and from the Fira Montjuïc and the various evening functions set to be quite a challenge.

The latest update from the GSMA indicates that negotiations are on-going in a bid to avert the strike, however the outlook doesn’t look good. Fingers crossed for a resolution by Monday, but I for one am anticipating plenty of walking next week.
See you in Barcelona.
