T-Mobile partners with Netflix to offer free subscriptions

In order to lure more customers and get its share of the mobile video pie, mobile phone carrier T-Mobile has entered into a partnership with video streaming giant Netflix to offer free subscriptions to users. All T-Mobile One customers with two or more connections will be able to activate their Netflix subscriptions September 12 onwards. The promotion is for Netflix’s $9.99 subscription package which allows users to stream HD videos on two devices. T-Mobile has not specified the time for which it will foot the bill for Netflix subscriptions.

Postmates expands its ‘Unlimited’ subscription service

Postmates, a US-based 35-minute delivery startup which allows you to buy food and other items from merchants, has just expanded its service by covering more than 250k restaurants and merchants on its app. Postmates offers ‘Unlimited’, a Prime-like subscription program, which allows subscribers to get free deliveries for $9.99 a month. The company, which makes more than 3 million deliveries across the US every month, has also lowered the minimum order value to $20. Ten percent of its customers subscribe to the ‘Unlimited’ subscription service, and around 50,000 new subscribers get added every month.
