Application Support Analyst

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Job Description

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for an Application Support Analyst to perform a variety of tasks. The role involves participation in the complete life cycle of support issues from initial investigation, recreation, SQL scripting for data solutions, testing and liaising with the clients regarding delivery of fixes. 
In this role you will have responsibility for:

  • Initial Investigation:
    • Examining relevant log files stored on Unix server
    • Recreating issues on a test system
    • Running SQL queries against Oracle database to extract data
    • Understanding client’s business processes
  • Resolving issues:
    • Making configuration amendments
    • Providing SQL scripts for data amendments
    • Writing temporary workaround scripts
    • Making code changes
  • Testing and delivery of software releases:
    • Installation of patches
    • Writing, executing & documenting test cases
    • Delivery of releases to the customer
  • Answering technical queries

Given that Cerillion’s head office is in the UK with a worldwide customer base, a willingness to travel internationally is essential.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 3+ years software support or development experience in the Telecoms industry
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • SQL knowledge
  • Oracle DBMS knowledge
  • Unix knowledge

Qualifications required for this role:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
