DevOps Specialist – OpenShift Automation

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Specialist with 5-10 years of experience and good hands-on, in-depth knowledge on OpenShift Cloud implementation. Candidate will undertake the following key tasks:

• Establishing, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD Automation with OpenShift Container Platform to begin with
• It includes Console/UI based, oc command line/script based and image based manual and automated deployment
• Ensuring that the environments internal or external as appropriate are provided including database provisioning
• Take ownership of environment or release related issues, liaising with required teams and ensure good communication is maintained
• Escalate to DevOps manager/Development Director in case SLAs are not met
• Proactively monitor, capture, and report on environment or application related issues with clarity and supporting analysis
• Work closely with Development, Release Management and Projects or any other stakeholders for deployment, support, and maintenance of the environments
• Build and maintain the library of standard technical and process documentation that is useful for implementor and users of the process/system
• Working with Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Technical Leads, as needed

Competencies/capabilities – technical/professional

• Hands on experience in OpenShift Container platform
• OpenShift Container platform setup, administration knowledge is desirable
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Red Hat Ansible
• Experience/knowledge of other cloud/container platform like AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, database, SQL is an added advantage
• Proven expertise in the support of large and/or complex IT solutions
• Comfortable with working in both Unix and Windows Environments
• Good knowledge of Unix is must and working experience with scripting but not limited to Bash/shell, Batch, Perl, Python
• Experience with source code management such as Perforce and Bitbucket/Git
• Experience using Jira as well as other tracking tools
• Experience of scripting languages like Ant, Maven would be added advantage
• Experience of build and release automation using CI tools; preferably Bamboo, would be added advantage
