Cerillion was formed in October 1999 following the Management Buyout of the in-house Customer Care and Billing product division of Logica, which had been providing enterprise billing solutions since 1992.

Cerillion becomes one of the 3G billing pioneers, helping Manx Telecom to launch Europe's first commercial UMTS services in December 2001.

In November 2005, Manx Telecom went one better launching the world's first HSDPA network, with Cerillion once again providing the BSS solution for these pioneering services.

Cerillion chooses Pune as the base for its Global Solutions Centre, establishing a new office in the state-of-the-art Cybercity Magarpatta development.

Cerillion unifies charging for prepaid / postpaid, fixed / mobile, voice / data / content services in its new Convergent Charging System, built around the 3GPP charging specifications.

Cerillion Skyline introduced as the company's first Software-as-a-Service billing solution, providing online sign-up and immediate access to powerful subscription and usage-based billing capabilities.

Cerillion acquires the netSolutions business unit from Ubisense, extending the company's BSS/OSS suite to address the end-to-end service management needs of next generation networks.

After 16 years as a private company, Cerillion IPO's on the London Stock Exchange as it looks to enhance its market profile, expand geographically, grow its SaaS offering, and capitalise on inorganic growth opportunities.

Cerillion's catalyst project “Proving the Business Model for Sponsored Network Slices: Mobile Gaming” wins Outstanding Catalyst Business Impact award at TM Forum’s Digital Transformation World in Nice. 

Three launches its first 5G broadband services in London, powered by Cerillion's Convergent Charging System and Self Service modules.

Cerillion establishes a new regional centre of excellence in Sofia, Bulgaria, complementing the company’s other major offices in the UK and India.

Cerillion achieves gold status in the TM Forum’s Open API Conformance Certification program, underlining its commitment to delivering open and standards-based products in accordance with the TM Forum’s Open API & Open Digital Architecture Manifesto.
